Pros

According to the owner, One should consider themselves lucky to be working for them.

Cons

"Describe some of the downsides of working for Cash Converters" - Anything and everything that happened between 8:30am and 5:30pm. Where to begin?? *I was lied to in the interview. Told hours are 9-5 and on my forst day was told its actually 8:30 to whenever the tills are counted (usually around 6pm) *Hours and hours and hours of unpaid overtime. *No public holidays given and no extra pay for working public holidays *Reach bonus targets only to be told that the target was actually changed and you didnt reach the target. *Constantly threatened with being sacked if you took your lunch hour *Nepotism *If you took a sick day your bonus wouldnt be paid. Too many examples of Cons to fit on the page

Pros

Learn about many items Learn to deal with the worst people in our society

Cons

Standard 38hr week salary and asked to work literally hundreds of hours overtime -robbed Very strict and toxic work environment. Terrible work/ life balance never able to leave early or organise things in life also very hard with people and sick days Sometimes no lunch breaks - no apologies just accepted to time given back. Terrible rosters with no regularity and having two days off in a row becoming rarer Asked to make time up for public holidays - just wierd Just a very difficult workplace asked to work your butt off with little or no rewards.

Pros

Fortunately there are better jobs around.

Cons

Uneducated management and franchisee is a con who are just out to make a quick $ from vulnerable people. They treat staff like rubbish, have a poor culture and in return offer you poor pay, no penalty rates on weekends & constant overtime without pay. Cashies business model is to prey on the most vulnerable in the community.
