Thank you for your note. I am sorry that you felt the need to write such a scathing review when you were only employed for ten weeks. I have tried to address your comments; 1. Thank you for acknowledging that our training is good. 2. I am sorry that you felt none of the SMT were nice. Interestingly, when we reviewed your monthly competency report it said you felt the opposite. 3. Hire and fire company. This is not true albeit we do acknowledge that some people unfortunately don’t make the grade to be a successful Cast UK employee. 4. Commission three months in tow – yes this is true. As you know, we calculate commission on when an offer is “boarded”. The three-month timescale is to allow the candidate to start with the client’s business and for Cast UK to invoice. There is no recruitment business around that pays commission before invoicing the client. 5. Zero benefits. This is simply not true. 6. Run by boys club. I am not sure what you mean. Almost half of our team are female plus one of our three directors are female. 7. Toxic culture. I am sorry you felt this was the case. We have several employees that have worked for the business for over ten / fifteen years. It is unusual that we terminate employee contracts within three months as we felt we needed to do for you. 8. Owner parks in disabled spaces. The car parking spaces are owned by the business and are not public. The employees that access these spaces can park in any they choose. 9. Immature managers. I refer to our response above in point 2. 10. WFH isn’t available until you hit your sales targets. Yes this is correct. We believe that all trainees should be competent and able to do the job before working unsupervised and at home. As you know, we explain this clearly at interview and during onboarding. We feel your review is an unfair reflection of our business especially considering your short tenure. However, we do hope that in time you come to appreciate the training and support we gave you.

Great team of people & marketing department is really valuable.

Cast UK has a warped view on their direction as a company. The unpredicable and aggresive MD has no idea how to communicate with people, & regulary dangles peoples' jobs in front of them for fun. Coupled with this he uses humiliation as a motivating tactic, which is not only damaging to culture but a horrendous way to manage. They are too KPI driven leading to calls for calls sake. They have so much inconsistency with their methods leaving people confused to what their job role actually is. People in tears on a daily basis and feeling to anxious to come into work.

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to leave Cast UK a review, it’s certainly great to hear you appreciate the fantastic team we have here. I am not sure if this is yet another fake review or not given that the points you make have no context. Furthermore, your point of “stop sacking people the minute they actually start earning the business money” just doesn’t make sense. Why on earth would I or the management team exit people who we have trained and invested in for a considerable time?

Very poorly paid Unrealistic targets Crying staff every day due to job uncertainty and a MD who likes to belittle people at every opportunity That many KPIs people can’t get on with the job “Process driven” way too many Morning MD “sales speeches” but just belittling everyone telling them it’s not good enough The time so far has been exhausting

Thank you for your review of Cast UK, we appreciate all previous and current employee feedback. If I can come back on some of your points: Poorly paid – all of our salaries are equal or above the market average for recruitment businesses in Manchester. Unrealistic targets – our targets are based upon the salary of the consultant. Therefore, consultants who are new to recruitment or trainees who have a lower salary have a lesser target. More experienced consultants or consultants who have a higher salary have a higher target. All salaries and targets are visible throughout the business given our open culture. We believe this approach is fair and transparent. Crying staff due to job uncertainty – I am not sure this is true. Should this ever happen or be the case we have a very supportive culture and would sit down with the individual involved and understand what their concerns are and help accordingly. Personally, I am unaware of this ever happening. KPI / Process driven – Yes we most certainly are process driven. We feel it is important to have clear and concise processes within the business to help people perform and understand how to do the job. As a business, we would never want our people to simply “free style” as this simply does not work. We also have KPI’s so people can self regulate and know how they have got on each day, week, etc. Morning sales speeches – this made me laugh. Maybe I need to work on my story telling :-) I do thank you for your time taken in leaving your review of Cast UK. I hope in time to come you reflect back on your time on your time with our business as I am sure there will be significantly more positive experiences, improved learning and personal development that you gained whilst working within Cast UK than what you have included within your above feedback. I would like to wish you all the best with your future career and thank you for your time with Cast UK.
