Mass faculty exodus due to terrible work culture. Disagreeing with certain administrators will get you labeled a 'racist' and from there, you'll continue to be bullied. (Actually, there was a faculty meeting in September, where all faculty were publicly called 'racist' for their grading practices.) These administrators get rid of everyone in the way of their specific agenda. All department heads were fired earlier this spring. There is very little faculty support. Those, whose very jobs consist of supporting faculty are either apathetic to the bullying or simply absent. Many people are quitting their jobs, even those teachers who have been teaching there for over a decade. In late July, people are still quitting and desperately trying to leave the school. Teachers are taking significant pay cuts to go elsewhere. Upper level administrators don't show up to scheduled meetings. They don't show up to watch candidate teaching demos, don't show up to scheduled evaluation meetings, they just don't show up! There seems to be no accountability for this. It's convenient to blame two botched temporary campus plans and a pending construction project for this fiasco. The campus plans and construction do not contribute to a hostile and toxic work environment. Supposedly, Diversity and Inclusion is a top priority. Hard to see how it can be a priority while making so many feel unwelcome.
