Pros

They have a moderate to good benefits package.

Cons

Being tied to the church, they are extremely (more than 30 years) behind the times. Most would look at this as an opportunity for impact (as I did) when you start, be aware, they do not want to change, and anyone that changes/challenges the status quo will more times than not, be shut down/discouraged versus coached or trained in the why.

Pros

Great co-workers, benefits, hours. One hour lunch, kitchen lunch room amenities; fridge, microwaves, stove with oven, healthy snacks, ice machine and filtered water

Cons

Stressful work atmosphere, department managers do not treat people well. Team work is preached but neither implemented nor encouraged. No activities that promote team-building or camaraderie between employees or departments.

No Advancement Opportunities

Pros

Half day Fridays, generous time off accrual and paid holidays. Competitive health insurance. Business casual dress code.

Cons

Management does not engage with employees. Senior management hires family members who are promoted, while the average employee has no advancement opportunity. It feels like employees are not trusted by management. Very slow to adopt change, and lacking universal customer database. Communication is always on a "need to know" basis. Communication between departments is poor.
