Pros

The people who work in the call centre are all young and are there for a good time - so working with them was great fun. Other than that, NOTHING.

Cons

Management in Brisbane office have no idea how to effectively manage an organisation, they lack support and structure. The select group have no clue what's affecting their employees and put unrealistic targets and pressures on their employees. The management never attempt to know you personally, or even ask how you are. They are basically all in their positions because of their friendships with the CEO and Executive team Marketing and Comms department is atrocious and the culture is not healthy at all. It's never going to be easy when your colleague is intimidated by you and is plotting against you yet, your manager is across the other side of the world. Their payroll is a shambles - I was offered a permanent salary position yet when an external recruitment company called me to finalise everything he explained I was a casual on an hourly rate with no paid leave (that was a red flag I didn't see). In the first few months, said recruitment company was paying everyone incorrectly anyway. Another red flag that I didn't notice until later (when I needed it) was that there is no HR department. They have an exorbitant amount of problems yet there is no one to take this up with! And my manager is in Canada, and I'm in Australia and the Australian management don't want any problems so if you raise an issue you're more than likely asking to be fired. They’d rather fire and replace, instead of retain, invest, educate and train. Turnover is pretty much 100% in months. Management also throw you under a bus when things aren’t going their way, despite telling you to do the task!! Most frustrating thing and can lead to you being let go. They are heartless, money-hungry people... There is no on boarding when you start so you have no idea who is who or who to communicate with to get jobs done – internal communication sucks. Donations made to support your fellow staff in their campaign are not welcomed unless they are of a substantial amount – this is because brand directors and management get a large proportion of the funds raised and they’re greedy and want more. Kitchen is substandard, they had to get health and safety experts in to clean up the mess – but only after it was raised with them. There were maggots and cockroaches regularly roaming the place. The kitchen isn’t separated from the office so all you can smell is the putrid rubbish and off food in the fridge from your desk. The cleaner only comes once a week so it’s on the employees to clean up their dishes, and they’re all lazy young backpackers so this doesn’t happen and everyone is frustrated. After it was made aware to them that their Glassdoor rating was low, several members of the management and marketing have written illustrious and exciting reviews of this toxic company to bring up their rating.

RUN AWAY! FAST!

Pros

You're getting a paycheck and you're allowed to bring your dog to work. That's all. You will be working for a clueless group of executives who are selfish, unmotivated, clueless (Yes I know I repeated this - but they truly are and I want to stress that), lying, self absorbed individuals who not only lack class and sense, they also lack business ethics.

Cons

Where do I begin? Let's start with the clueless exec who, on his first event that he was hired to produce, flew 10,000 miles from LA to Australia on an all expense paid trip to observe his first two day cancer event, BUT decided to skip Day 2 of the 2 day event and had his staff rebook his expensive ticket so he can leave earlier. How's that for building company moral and teamwork? The Marketing Department terminated employees without much thought- then they had the audacity to call the terminated employees the day after (sometimes they wait a week) to consult cause they can't find the files they were working on or they realized they don't know the status of projects. It's sadly true. SHAMELESS. Who does that? The company used to manage over 40 events a year and now they are down to 8 events. If you don't believe me, ask them at your interview. Also, ask them how they used to have over 220 employees worldwide and how they're down to 25 now. Also, ask them how come company profit is down 80% from 6 years ago. Do yourself a favor- both Target and Starbucks are hiring. You will have a better experience there. Heck, at this point. twirling a real estate sign on a street corner would be a better experience than working here. RUN AWAY.

Not a nice place to work

Pros

There are some caring genuine people who work here, it is a shame management are not part of those people

Cons

Do not believe the recent reviews written towards the end of 2014 as basically a 'strong' suggestion was made to some current employees that they write something positive on this site to get the rating up as the genuine ones prior were causing the rating to drop. This along says so much about this company. They position themselves as a 'charity' but they are actually an event management company that charge Charities a lot of money to conduct events that hopefully raise some money for Cancer research organisations. The funds’ being raised is decreasing each year but the fee charged to conduct the events isn't. The Directors are still on their 6 figure salaries even if the charities lose money. Management here do not care about their employees, they appear to initially but many see in a very short period of time that they are more about money for themselves than they are about raising money for the charities they represent. They do not empower their staff at all hence they have many staff leave or get sacked every month. In the time I was there (less than a year) there was a 100% turnover in actual numbers, which means in excess of 55 staff left in a staff of less than 50, shocking staff turnover and managers do not care nor do they try and help by being leaders. Sir Richard Branson once said" Train your people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don't want to". This company is so far from this quote it is unbelievable. In business, companies that want to survive will put caring, training and development of staff first. So unless this company changes (and doesn't just falsify reviews) it will not last another 3 years.

**BE ADVISED** The accusations in the review above are NOT ACCURATE and are opinion-based. To correct the misinformation above, you may like to know that: CauseForce is a world-leading event production firm who works directly with charities to help them raise money for their mission. 100% of funds raised by our participants goes directly to our beneficiaries who pay for the cost of the event and invest the funds into their core cancer programs. We, along with any vendor who provides service to these cancer hospitals, take a flat-fee to plan, market, and safely execute the event. Since 2002 we've worked hand-in-hand with the world's leading Cancer hospitals across Australia, Canada, The US, and in the UK. The funds raised through our events have and will continue to change the way humans treat this disease around the world. We embrace people who work hard, and our values as a company reflect that. We encourage helpful and accurate reviews on this site.
