Pros

Honestly, I did not see any pros to this employer.

Cons

This is absolutely the worst company to work for. They don't respect or care for their employees unless you are making your numbers which are almost impossible. On average they want 20+ upgrades a month and 6 pull through out a month which counts as a new activation. They want at least 10 activations in general some being pull through. Pull through counts as tablets, jet packs, and gizmo pals. Each rep in the store has to make these. You are given 3 warnings for not hitting your #s and then are let go with no warning. Total there are about 7 reps to each store that's 140+ upgrades, 42 pull through, and 70 activations average each month. I'm small towns this is pretty much impossible to meet. Turns employees against each other and creates a cut throat environment where if the customer isn't buying anything you don't want to help them. Employees steal each other's upgrades and activations if you aren't working and pre ordered a phone and aren't there to activate for the customer. The manager is horrible and is constantly late and taking things from inventory and then making employees pay for missing items during inventory audits at the end of the month so the numbers won't be off. The store saves your s.s. # and account password so they have access to it 24/7. Although "verizon" says you shouldn't do this cellular plus has each employee save this information in a store folder called the upgrade funnels. Your always working over your hours without overtime and the insurance benefits aren't worth the $160 a month that you pay for it. Deductibles are high so you end up lying most of your dr bill anyway. This company is so greedy the literally instruct their employees or reps to lie to the customer. If we can save you $30 a month we are told to tell you that we can save you $20 a month if you add on a jet pack or tablet for $10 a month offsetting the original price drop. Were instructed to not let customers know UNSURANCE IS OPTIONAL and you can enroll at ANY TIME through protect cell or asurian by calling them directly. Instead, as reps we are told to tell the customer that insurance is mandatory the first month and that the customer can take it off the month after if choosing to do so. This is because the insurance #s have quotas and need to be sold with 80% of all phones the reps have go out under their name. Plus the company gets a sweet profit off this too! So go figure. Commission is always a mess and is never what you think it will be. If you fail to meet your numbers as listed above they withhold your commission. So without your commission you make $9 an hour which means you can expect $500 pay checks after taxes if that. Virtually impossible to live on. Not to mention, they will constantly send you rude and diminishing emails for failing to meet your numbers. On. $40 charger we get a $2.50 commission just an idea of how much you have to sell just to make your commission worth something. Not to mention, on phones new phones are tier 3 commission meaning they oh the least because it's the phone everyone wants. If you sell an older phone like iPhone 4 you get more commission because your getting the old inventory out of the store. So you are left pushing old and used products to customers who come in later because they are obsolete and stuck in a contract. The company will charge a restock fee if device is returned but has instructed employees to not mention they're used so they can sell them out without the discount. As a customer you will never truly know if you are getting a brand new device. In conclusion, this company is dishonest to its customers and employees. If you don't have a problem scamming people then the company will love you as long as you meet your numbers that is! Managers are two faced and wil turn on you if you aren't conforming because you not meeting your #s counts against them. Management is poor and they won't help you with anything. Complaining doesn't work because management is corrupt.

Pros

You get to work with people and help fix problems that other employees caused.

Cons

Won't pay overtime and if you demand it they right you up ! Good luck getting a break and you will be forced to work through your lunch. Forget about reporting sexual harrasment ! 9 out of 10 paychecks are short and they are "looking" in to it.

Pros

Honestly, if you enjoy cut-throat tactics to make your money, then this is the perfect place for you. Decent enough pay checks IF you hit your multiplying factors, rather difficult when they tweak the goals just enough so that you cannot attain them. Dangling that carrot isn't always the best way to motivate.

Cons

Unattainable "modified" goals Not much in the way of upward movement Belittling and manipulative upper management. One wrong move and you become an instantaneous pariah. The owner of the company is a very lackluster person in general. Relatively condescending to anyone aside from anyone outside of his home office. The company in a grand scale is a very loose morality. The mentality is simply "Do what it takes to get a sale, don't lie but be a salesperson. If you cannot reach our ever changing goals and be happy about it, then find the door. "
