Pros

Marketing is incredible - and I really mean that. Any org should take celonis as a best practice. Even internal marketing programs employees to only breath celonis mindset.

Cons

The values, which were introduced from nowhere and claimed to be always present (“the earth is our future” - as is this had been in the dna of celonis😅). In reality the culture is top down push, squeezing if individuals like lemons and overtime.

Pros

Great software and smart people? That is the only "Pro" I can think of and I've been thinking about writing this review for 6+ months.

Cons

At one point in time, this was a place where you were told you could be a part of something special: Building the next enterprise software giant. Every day that goes by that dream slips further and further away for most. It is only a reality for the founding team and senior leadership while the rest of the 500+ employees are treated as expendable resources regardless of tenure. - An incredibly toxic work environment in NYC office - For a company that is pioneering process transparency, there is NO transparency internally - C-level management taking deals from AE's and not giving any type of comp or quota attainment - Sexual/workplace harassment resulting in a couple of firings. I wish I could say that the firings happened immediately but that was not the case. - No equity of any kind but you're expected to give your blood, sweat, and tears for the company to be successful - Significantly below market pay, benefits, insurance etc. - No culture - Nickel and dime employees on work travel expenses - No one knows (including sales leadership) how to sell the product effectively - Quotas are about 3-4x too high and therefore crushing your number is out of the question - Next to no training or enablement I could go on but I don't think there is a need.

Pros

The two stars is for the product, which is cool and interesting. I have friends in the management consulting space and they rave about the product - it was a driving force in what ultimately compelled me to accept the offer. Damn them.

Cons

All general messaging from leadership is cliched mass-consumption garbage. The weekly all-hands is jargon wrapped in buzz words. It might as well be a click-bait LinkedIn post. GTM "leadership" (see what I did there) rules by fear and bullying. If I wanted to work for chino wearing golfers from Oracle, I'd go try to work there. Sales cycles can be incredibly long. In '22 they closed a large retail coffee company...yes, nice win. I asked the team involved about the win to get some insight and buried in the lede was that it took THREE+ years from initial call to close....oh, yeah, a non refundable draw is not part of the package FWIW, I did like my direct manager and would work for them at a functional company in a second. You could always tell when they got off a forecast/leadership call - they were stressed, slightly rattled, pushing and digging into all opps hoping for new info. Not a healthy environment. Lastly - and I could go in - the DEI conversation is all window dressing. Nobody in leadership cares.
