Pros

You eventually get paid after emailing over ten times (not a joke). In the beginning, it was great. Creativity was encouraged, innovation was praised, and the CEO and President were passionate. Then the passion died.

Cons

The CEO is a tyrant and established a hostile work environment. It's his way or the highway, and there is no compromise. He thinks and says a lot about a lot without actually saying anything (just like I did). There is a lot internal conflict going on between the CEO and the Pres, and it's apparent each time any member of the team gets a call. The hostility between the two and the coldness towards one another is jarring and uncomfortable. Lots of empty promises are made, and it is disappointing as there is so much potential. I don't think the Pres' heart is in the business anymore, or at least not their for-profit model the CEO pushed for. There are a lot of positive partnerships going on, but they do not have the capital to make those partnerships flourish.

Thank you for feedback. We continue to learn, just like any other startup entrepreneur. We will find it hard to earn revenues if we got rid of our business development team, as you suggest. But your views are welcome. I will say that our president is extremely passionate about making CentSai a profitable company. We have managed to be come a revenue generating company without taking outside capital. We continue to attract talented people who have the risk appetite to work for a startup, which is not everyone's cup of tea.

Pros

I can think of zero

Cons

Recruitment tells you they have a CRM, leads provided along with cold calling. Zero was true. They give you a download of companies off Yelp. No CRM, well, if you consider excel one, then you’re in luck! The CEO gives many promises and delivers on zero. When you’re a 1099 worker who’s sole income is 100% commission on a platform that’s not 100% functional??? AND at only 15% commission? When I inquired about that I was immediately bumped to 30%. The CEO has a place in NYC and Lake Tahoe, and claims he can’t pay salaries plus. If you want to work for free and get texts from a CEO, the sales “leaders” at all hours, then this is your place to be..otherwise, RUN

Thank you very much for your kind review. First, I am sorry that you did not have a good experience while working with us. We do want to clarify a few points above. We do not offer anyone a 15% commission. Depending on product line, it starts from 20% and goes up to 30%. If you want to email me your original contract to me (Arindam@centsai.com) that mentions 15%, in confidence, please do so. On your comment on CRM. We have always used a CRM either Hubspot or Salesforce but we do that in conjunction with excel spreadsheets to ensure high quality of data in our CRM systems. This is drilled in across all training sessions. Lastly, the CEO does not own homes in NYC or Lake Tahoe. CentSai wishes you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

- Free water - Clean and convenience coworking space

Cons

CEO doesn't have a clue about how to run this business. President looked enthusiastic at the beginning, but she got very defensive when I wasn't agreed with her or when I questioned her decisions on behalf of the company. You will be a spectator of heated discussions and fights, making the environment tremendously hostile. I observed this since my first day. To add more drama, the CTO was a horrendous leader. His attitude was arrogant and negative all the time, besides that he talked gossips of everyone. The company is full of freelancers and the pay is very low with zero benefits. They are looking for funding, but they don't have idea how bad is their strategy, and they don't want to recognize it. As the previous message said, you had to email them several times in order to get paid. The president got emotional when I announced I was living, she was very rude and basically made my last days miserable as a revenge. I really feel she thinks her startup is the next Facebook, and that she couldn't understand why I was quitting.

Hi, your feedback is much appreciated. Indeed, we have made mistakes as first time entrepreneurs. We have learned and we still continue to learn. Our team has grown and we have many people who have been with us since 2016 when we formally launched our site. I am not sure I would call our CTO was a "horrendous leader" . Our CTO was able to take our platform to a level from where we were able to generate revenues without raising capital. And to the best of our knowledge he taught many people around him. Were we tough? Yes, but if you are committed to ensure your startup does not fail, you have to be tough. We debated a lot. We continue to remain transparent while we debate. We would not call them fights. We do appreciate your views.
