Pros

The only thing I can think of is the Office location

Cons

I have over 15 years of international experience having worked all over the globe for mayor organisations. Yet, I have never in my life come across such a toxic environment as The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG). The Company, The Centre for Genomic Regulation, is full of racist Catalans with the IQ of a chickpea. The only reason they were hired is because of their nationality. The Managing Director; Bruna Vives-Prat, and other management are white-supremacists who abuse anyone else that is not white or from European descent. They hire non-white people for their diversity ratio but steal their money in the meantime or refuse to pay them or take their complaints regarding racism seriously. There are multiple people who have worked here and are still owed pay by the company. Multiple cases have already been filed against this company in the last decade which they desperately try to sweep under the carpet. Bullying, threatening and pure lies are the foundation of this company. Lots of promises in writing which they later claim not to exists even after being presented with proof of their own writings. Schizophrenic! Lack of knowledge exists throughout the company resulting in no one having the slightest clue of what their job actually means. The Centre for Genomic Regulation is the prime example of everything you need to avoid in a company. You are better off unemployed than to have this despicable joke of a company on your resume!

Pros

The labs are quite well equipped, the teams are great and there is a collaborative atmosphere- it can be really enjoyable to do research there. The building is also a plus, right in front of the beach!

Cons

Management is horrible. Misconduct is not condemned actively once it appears- although on paper they say they have zero tolerance for abuse, it is not true- sadly, everything is swept under the rug!!! HR know of toxic group leaders (there are a few!!) and they allow them to mistreat their employees over and over again. Not only that, but HR always side with toxic PIs once a victim speaks up. The victim is left alone and the future of the victim's academic research can be shattered because of one toxic PI. It is horrible and has led to tough situations where the only option is to take legal action.
