Pros

Decent pay and benefits, company vehicle and phone, uniforms and paid time off

Cons

As a service technician with centerline communications your life will be in the truck or on the job site. Expect very little personal or downtime for yourself, shifts may last in excess of 20 hours and include hundreds of miles of driving which is an unsafe condition and is overlooked by the company. Management is only barely effective, expect plenty of lip service and false promises and dead ends. Management has been allowed to hire close friends and it is very cliquey you are either in or out. You are on call sometimes for a week at a time all by yourself, and because you are by yourself you will be expected to cover the entire state in which you live for any emergency calls that come up, which all have a deadline to meet. Do not expect your coworkers or direct supervisors to have a high standard for quality of work. Any questions raised will be met with excuses and misgivings and you will be labeled a troublemaker, so be sure to never make a fuss about anything, especially the long hours or dangerous working conditions. They say they will give you a hotel if you are out working late, but calls for that help are met with ridicule. If you're too tired to carry on safely it will also be met with ridicule, your best bet is to try and work through it. And even if you're out late the night before, expect to get a call after a few hours sleep to come back in due to work ticket volume. In short, this place is a crusher and you will be crushed working here stay far away and do not consider center line if you value your life and your livelihood as a service Tech.

Pros

Not many, to be honest.

Cons

See review title. Overworked, underpaid, general lack of support , management was often very condescending and not very enjoyable to work with.

Pros

Remote. Repetitious, competetive salary, okay to ask for time off for Dr, not micro-managed, personally accountable people do fine, got to work remotely :)

Cons

I worked a TON, TON, TON of overtime and was never compensated. I *NEVER* worked an 8-hour day. My boss knew this and said he knew that I worked over 8 hours each day. The shortest day was probably a 10-hour day without really taking lunch. Getting up to make a quick sandwich made me feel guilty - maybe because I am used to a salary working for a company where OT is warranted but effort is realized and respected. I knew I'd never grow in this role (@ Centerline). I've worked other positions where I was immediately recognized as a contributor who *CARED* about my job, offered increases (salary), additional assignments and knew I'd get somewhere. I knew right away this would go nowhere. I will probably look for work in a smaller team where those who put forth effort are seen. My old teammates used to tell me that I "worked too much" and that I'm "there too late and there too early". I was okay with that working for a product dev team - this on the other hand.... well, let's just say I'm a PEON who would never have been recognized. I have had horrible anxiety for a week now following and didn't see this coming - due to health problems I won't try temporary work again unless I know I'm working a contract, I won't apply. There should have been a warning.
