Pros

Not many I can think off.

Cons

Make no mistake this ia a business in serious trouble. Selling off stores, closing distribution centres and there will be much more to come. Chronically miss managed from top to bottom. The money they make off the back of an impressive turnover is spectacularly low. Completely unable to complete a simple project totally lost and stuck in a time warp. Poor technology, poor leadership and fighting off an inevitable collapse.

Pros

Support by your own colleagues is great and a department generally has a great vibe to it.

Cons

Every department and Head Of has their own agenda and there is a lack of vision from the CEO which results in too many spin offs happening, it’s out of control. Debbie is too focused on Marketing and rebranding as that’s her background and not focused enough on driving the business forward. I think it has been a bad mistake to bring back so many old leaders like Paul and Lee as they haven’t returned with anything fresh or exciting. Management Incentive Scheme is a joke and is how much your face fits rather than how well you’ve led or what you’ve achieved.

Pros

Some of the staff, and customers were alright. I worked my way up to duty manager, and was with the company for 6 years. It was actually an alright place to work back when it was Anglia Co-op...then it got taken over by Midland and it went downhill fast. The company as it exists today really is horrible. I really, really implore anyone reading this to never apply to this company - I promise you will regret it!

Cons

After takeover, re-branded as Central England, and after a consultation period a lot of staff were made redundant. Policies, procedures and management at all levels were absolutely horrible to work with. I would never go back!
