The only downside was the neighborhood it was in. Catcalling was common.

Pros

The work environment is unlike any other. Very fun, people are passionate, and everyone makes you feel at home. The work being done in the community is incredible.

Cons

The organization clearly has grown a lot but fails to grow administrative departments to keep up with work. Salaries are low, but there is room for growth.

Pros

Great multicultural environment, respectful and very friendly staff. The organization have the potential to make a real difference. DC BILINGUAL charter school does not apply to this review because they do actually have a separate salary scale. If you love to volunteering, community service and have limited financial responsibilities then this is a decent organization for you. Great place to practice Spanish. It is a great place to utilize problem solving skills, spend some time but definitely MOVE ON to something else and self reflect.

Cons

No guidelines, structure, poor leadership mainly due to the lack of organizational charts. The organization have a huge staff turnover rate and do not expect for someone else to get hire. Pray for interns! My understanding is that they tend to hire part-time employees that end up working full time. They don't believe in hourly wages (how convenient) but you submit time sheets rated hourly which seems a bit unethical to me. What is even more frustrating several divisions consist in only One individual, a director?! Don't let the titles fool you.
