      Company is collapsing

      There are no longer any Pros for this company. It is collapsing, and it is every person for himself

      Cons

      Many cons. No confidence in management. Company information is far out of date. Ashok Joshi was discharged as President/CEO 3-years ago. Current CEO has failed to bring in a penny of new revenue. Company revenue has fallen more than 50% in past three years, and staff now is 1/3 of previous following four separate layoffs.

      Pros

      High work schedule flexibility, R&D settiing enables and promotes opportunity for creativity, non-rigid management structure allows for some lateral mobility in various projects (all contingent on particular projects/budgets and project managers and for the time being).

      Cons

      LOW PAY, and LOW PAY ADVANCEMENT. Typically far below positional career standards. Recent developments are geared toward surplus of revenue for parent company at the high cost of stunting creativity and recognition and employee compensation especially for 'heavy lifting' employees.

      Small company. Flexible hours. Generous vacation time. New and challenging projects come frequently. Many opportunities to build contacts with other companies, and organizations.

      Cons

      Small company... Expect salary on the low end of the spectrum, and limited opportunities for advancement within the company. Ceramatec has a long history of hiring engineers out of school, and losing them within a few years.
