Pros

Happy hours, summer Fridays, etc

Cons

- MASSIVE turnover - management does not get along, openly arguing in front of the entire staff making it uncomfortable for everyone - almost everyone is a fresh college graduate with little to no other professional experience to leverage - management does not do much to prove that they value the mental health or work-life balance of staff - all the other positive reviews were left by staff that were tasked in drowning out the negative feedback - constant drama, gossip, and belittling

Pros

A lot of Happy Hours, hybrid work schedule, generally fun coworkers, good work experience, mostly cool clients

Cons

If you notice, the first-ever review left on this site was a one-star (accurate) review. Upper management quickly sent out a mass email, encouraging team members to post positive reviews to hide the negative one. It's pretty apparent that the 5-star reviews that came after were very forced and fake. If you want to work at a place where mental health is constantly joked about and mental breakdowns are considered "normal", then Champion is the place for you. Upper management takes all the credit while underpaying, undermining, and belittling the entry-level employees. From what I've heard, the VP of PR is the driving force behind so many people leaving the company and upper management turns the other way every time. There have now been 7 employees who have quit within the last month. We had an entire department quit and upper management blamed everyone but themselves and have continued to talk trash and spread lies about these former employees. There is a "no bullying" policy that was put in place by the two owners, but I guess that policy doesn't pertain to them. You do work with great people, but upper management lives in a completely different world and you will always do more than what you signed up for. Be ready to work on the weekends, stay late in the office, and be encouraged to cry more - because that's what makes someone a better worker!

Pros

If you are just starting your career, Champion is a great place to have to gain agency experience at a nationally recognized firm working on well-known brands that can help with future future development and roles. Advancement opportunities are plentiful for those with 0-5 years of experience, with most team members being promoted after one year. The agency is divided into specialized business verticals of Public Relations, Digital/Social and Account Services. Champion offers a 3/2 hybrid work model with three days in-office and two days remote.

Cons

This company is experiencing high turnover and drama prevails. Teams work on many accounts and scope creep occurs regularly. Advancement opportunities are based largely on tenure rather than work product and are scarce after the one-year mark. A lack of buy-in to the Core Values exists within the ownership. There is blatant favoritism towards several employees. Gender discrimination may be an issue. A male parent was questioned/reprimanded for leaving early to attend to children, while female parents were allowed to leave early or work from home often without question.
