Direct supervisor micromanages and uses excessive procedures to drown out the design process and any authentic contributions, excessive meetings without purpose, and director reschedules meetings multiple times per week 75% of the time leading to less productivity, forcing salaried employees to timecard throughout the day in Slack, and improperly uses project management tools. There are a lot of ways technology can be used to streamline processes and workloads but this institution (or CCO leadership) fears risks and innovation to make improvements. There is also zero priority in funding design tools for IDS to make higher quality courses and they use the single shared license approach to everything. I'd like to see them invest in their people, trust their staff, and let IDS do design work and not just transfer flat content into Canvas.
