Pros

Mon - Fri and decent pay for a call center

Cons

Unrealistic metrics. Favoritism. No room for growth. Very backwards in terms of technology. The advisors who are supposed to help customers are some of the rudest co workers ive ever had. It confirms everything you think of when you think of shady mechanics

Pros

Sometimes there is free food.

Cons

On my first day at Chapman, I was locked into the parking lot after closing, and had to call the police and wait an hour for a manager to come back and let me out. This moment perfectly encapsulates the level of care you can expect as an employee. Your actual goals, duties, and expectations are poorly communicated, if they ever are at all, and the "training" I received amounted to was someone basically standing over my shoulders at all times and occasionally chiming in when I made a mistake, rather than adequately preparing us to not make those mistakes in the first place. I often found myself confused and frustrated at the complete lack of direction we were given, and how the things management seemingly required us to do were always framed as suggestions, rather than actual expectations. Most of the higher-up employees are snakes who pretend to be friendly but are really looking for any reason to tear someone down, and despite repeatedly heaping praise upon themselves for the "amazing opportunities" they offered employees, I regularly heard salespeople talking about how they made less than $60k a year, not much more than I made as an hourly employee. Racism and misogyny are the norm, and I found myself disgusted at how employees would speak of foreigners, those from the Middle East especially. You can also expect a complete lack of work-life balance, as there are no sick/holiday days, and management will get mad at you if, say, there's a foot of snow on your road physically blocking you from coming into work. I also hope you enjoy working 11 hour days, as coming in during the opening at 9 and leaving during closing at 8 is the expectation, not the exception. I was unceremoniously let go after less than 3 months of employment due to not meeting whatever invisible metrics they had expected, with absolutely no warning or reprimand beforehand. I genuinely cannot think of a single positive of working at Chapman besides the pizza on Saturdays. I would recommend absolutely everybody, whether they be prospective employee or vehicle purchaser, stay as far away as possible.
