Pros

If you get along with the right people and never question their bizarre methods, can be a pretty easy, not demanding ride (wait, is that a pro?)

Cons

General lack of urgency, code quality, or reasonable organisation; but you’ll constantly hear how amazing everything and everyone is (that is the only “honest feedback” management is actually willing to listen to)

Pros

I recently joined CharlieHR as a new team member, and I must say that my experience has been nothing short of fantastic. From the very beginning, the recruitment process was transparent and efficient, making me feel like a valued candidate throughout the entire journey. Right from the initial stages, I was well-informed about what to expect during each phase of the recruitment process, and I even had the opportunity to know in advance the individuals I would be meeting. This level of transparency helped alleviate any anxieties and allowed me to prepare better for each interview. What impressed me the most was the speed at which the overall process took place. CharlieHR demonstrated a commendable level of professionalism by keeping me constantly in the loop, without the need for me to chase for updates. This proactive approach reassured me that they truly valued my time and interest in the company. One thing that stood out to me was the genuine emphasis on a two-way process during the interviews. It became evident that CharlieHR was not only evaluating candidates but also creating a platform for candidates to express their thoughts and ideas openly. This inclusion of my perspective made me feel like my input was valued and encouraged me to envision a collaborative future with the company. Despite having a long notice period in my previous position, the onboarding process at CharlieHR was impeccably managed. I was kept well-informed throughout, from the estimated arrival of my equipment to what I should expect on my first day. These small but thoughtful touches truly made a positive impact on my onboarding experience, setting the tone for what lay ahead. Once I stepped foot into the company, I was warmly welcomed by everyone. The Leadership team and even the CEO made time to meet me within my first week, expressing a genuine interest in getting to know me and my aspirations within the organisation. This level of accessibility and approachability from top-level executives further reinforced the company's commitment to its people. In summary, I can confidently say that CharlieHR is a great company with inspiring leaders who care deeply about their employees. The welcoming atmosphere, efficient organisation, and transparent communication all contributed to an exceptional onboarding process. I feel fortunate to be part of this team and look forward to growing together with CharlieHR. Pros

I've been working at Charlie for over two years, and I'm extremely impressed by how leadership truly care about each and every one of us employees. They truly walk the walk on this, with plenty of forward-thinking policies like our 9-day fortnight (we don't work every other Friday), mental health sick days, hybrid working and flexible hours, and the possibility to work abroad for 30 days a year. Considerate hiring helped create a diverse team of truly talented and nice people, which makes everyday work stimulating and pleasurable. I'm not sure how they did it, but Charlie is made of really wonderful people, no one excluded. A lot of work has also been done to create a culture of transparency and open feedback, where everyone is encouraged to share their opinion and challenge more senior team members on the best direction to take. What really makes the difference is that these opinions are always listened to and acted on. Growth and development are also a focus. I spent years at other companies stagnating in roles I had outgrown, failing to get visibility on how to be promoted. At Charlie, I was promoted twice in 2 years, and I have a very clear idea of what's expected of me in order to keep on progressing in my career. A generous learning budget also helps with that.

Cons

It's hard to think of any, to be honest! Salaries may be slightly lower than in other tech businesses, but the benefits and general work-life balance well make up for that.
