Instead of growing the company you will have a sense of I need to fight for my life to keep my job.

The company hired me on after the previous recruiter was let go. Pretty much from day one I was told that my position was on the line and that the office could not afford two recruiters. Upper management was let go and my coworker was put on maternity leave so I was left to run the office. When I asked for a raise for the additional duties they told me we couldn't afford it. Shortly after that they hired a new manager. Within two weeks I was let go.
