Rotten to the core.
The firm has absolutely no regard to its staff’s mental health. There are bullies riddled within the firm. The way I have been spoken to by staff in this firm is absolutely appalling. The offices are filled with gossip which puts absolutely no faith in confidentiality within the HR team. Ive heard from other employees of some select staff spending half their working day in HR office often making them wonder what confidential information is being shared.
Concerns that are raised about how staff are treated are never taken seriously, and bullying in the workplace place is never questioned. CEO and HR seem to try and gang up on staff and lessen issues which are brought up.
There is no human touch to HR team, they are completely unapproachable, I wouldn’t tell them anything and when I’ve had to, they aren’t concerned about the issue at hand, they just want to know the office gossip and it’s abundantly clear.
There is a culture of one rule for one and a completely different rule for another. HR seem to have their favourites and they don’t do a good job of hiding that. Staff get away with murder whilst others are bashed for brining up issues that are actually relevant.
I’ve worked in a multitude of different companies and not one has made me feel even a fraction of how bad this job has. Ive had to take time off of work due to ill mental health caused solely by the environment I have to work in.
When you bring up concerns you are made to feel as though you are the problem and it’s your fault that issues are arising. Zero support from anyone.
I have never in my life felt as belittled and embarrassed as I have working here. Partners treating other solicitors like their personal assistants, then belittling them behind their backs.
I know of so many co workers who have left due to similar reasons, high turnover is just another reason never to work here.
I would never recommend anyone to ever work here, the place is toxic, will ruin your mental health, never reward any hard work, and will make you wish you never clicked “apply”.
The high turnover rate is telling of the environment at the offices within the firm. People leave every 5 minutes and I really don’t blame them. For some reason management don’t seem to care about the revolving doors that never stop turning. The place needs a change in attitude, support and they need to open their eyes to the issues they keep turning their backs on.
I truly worry for the younger staff who believe this is what it is like to work in law.
