      Pros

      This is a large well funded syndicate at Lloyd's of London.

      Cons

      This is at best 3rd rate syndicate with poor organisation, a surplus layer of senior management and serious integrity issues. There are of course some good people there but even with an extra layer of management there is no clear leadership. Systems are antiquated, producing rubbish data. Therefore no one is really sure what is going on. Worst of all the senior management cannot be trusted. It is highly political with no respect for individual’s legal rights. When they were caught out on something they were aggressive and bullying.

      Pros

      Great benefits and salary which is generally higher or matches the London market rates. Very flexible working, with hybrid working (1 day a week anchor day per team - with a day the team chooses). People are very friendly and helpful generally. Also very knowledgeable in their areas.

      Cons

      Very Top-down leadership. Very risk-averse and slow to adopt technology changes. Highly centralised decision making, so all decision making is extremely slow! and in some cases very poor as the right people are not consulted in time. Resource and change management is poor.

      Pros

      Nice people Great social events Good benefits good work /life balance although in some cases you could be expected to work weekends and late.

      Cons

      Too many politics. Too much sneakiness and backstabbing. I feel senior management has lost touch with their workforce Systems are outdated and produce rubbish data. Impossible to progress in your career.
