Poor leadership, no employee empowerment.
Pros
It's a beautiful place to drive into each day. You meet people from all over the world who have a love for art and gardens.
Cons
Lots of leadership with power trip issues. Teamwork doesn't exist. Segmented departments that don't know what the other department is doing. Chaotic. Disorganized. Low pay with high expectations of volunteering overtime. No regard for work/life balance. Always looking for ways to cut budgets regardless of how it makes your job more challenging or how it personally effects you. One time our drinking water was taken away to save money--yet the Presidents corner office got renovated. Another time our 401k match got taken away--next day--President drives through the gates with her new BMW convertible with the top down. You see where this is going.... If you want to work here--look around to see the longevity of individuals in the department you are interested. You might find a handful of positions that have been there over 2 years--that's it. It's a revolving door. People think it's a "cool" place to work b/c of the name--then get there and see the nightmare that exists. Worst place to work. Run do not walk.
