Pros

They have a fairly good rep in the industry of hiring quality consultants.

Cons

I had the worst experience in my entire 20 year career while employed by Cherry Road. The manager berated my functional draft in front of of other client and consultants. This was my first and only engagement with Cherry Road. The Clients paret company wanted to create an interface that would in essence would control and report on org structure using the Department tree. I alerted Cherry Road management and they sent in a 'manager' to supervise me. Right off the bat, the guy was abrasive, rude and demanding and after two weeks with him I asked to be transferred and Cherry Road declined. I endured three more months of dealing with this nut job to the point where others would come up to me and ask why I enduring the routine harassment. I finally had enough and resigned. I filed a complaint with Cherry Road and they said it was an interpersonal issue... not harassment - I had witnesses to the managers behavior and Cherry Road did nothing.

Pros

Travel and lots of it. If you like travel, this job is for you. Oracle knowledge, Oracle products are a good skill to know, so it's a good stepping stone. Pay is great.

Cons

Crazy work hours, most people work 60+ hours a week. Lots of Travel, and hardly any family time, makes it difficult for a work/life balance. Most consultants are put on several accounts at once, and they aren't allowed to share with the client that they have been at another clients place in their absence. Training is hard and fast.

Pros

Great co workers on projects!

Cons

Per diem is only $45 day, even in very expensive cities. Most competitors per diem is $65 - $85. It's all about making money for family who own company, not treating Employees like they are a priority. Benefits, especially medical insurance, are horrible and very expensive. Very little communication to the Employees. Even when All Hands calls are announced, they are then never held. Additional layers of executives are added and then bonuses can't be paid for Employees who are billable bringing in the revenue.
