      Pros

      Essentially you are working for Google people on Google projects which is interesting

      Cons

      Our job titles got changed to co-ordinators internally No perks of working at Google - no office, no benefits No clear review process Couldn't trust Chesamel - Google is their client and you are their income Salaries not in line with other tech companies Chesamel will tell you what you want to hear at interview even offering to subsidize travel into the office etc - but they won't deliver on these promises

      Pros

      Working at Chesamel means you can work onsite at Google and other cool companies and get Google on your CV Great way to get poached by Google's competitors and get a more senior role

      Cons

      You are a service to Google and Chesamel are essentially the middlemen, so you have to accept this. Chesamel will make a lot of promises to you in the interview to get you to join. Lack of notice in terms of contract renewal (usually have to chase for months) Lack of transparency around pay and pay reviews. Contractors have been moved from a google office with full time employees to a contractor-only office. No phone so have to share personal phone number. Contractors are underpaid compared to what they would get externally. Morale was very low in last months.

      Some great people who work really hard

      Cons

      Not a very positive place to work, feels like walking on eggshells with management Senior managers can be quite blunt and rude to each other, causing friction during team meetings Feel like we cannot speak up when feeling stressed.
