Pros

There are no pros! A Marketing assistant is not standing at a wal-mart trying to get people to sign up for xfjnity.. Total waste of my time and skills! Give me my parking money back lol..

Cons

Everything! This company is shady and they don't even tell you that it's 100% commission based until you're hired on board already working!! They avoid the question as much as possible.. How the hell do you get promoted on your 6th day???? Where do they do that at?? Rediculus.. NO COMPANY promotes that fast.. Definitely a pyramid scheme..

Hi there, and thanks for the feedback. We always appreciate the chance to improve. It looks like you had a pretty negative experience with our company, and that's a shame. All of our job advertisements are clear about what is involved in the position, and we do our best to make sure every candidate is well informed. We'll definitely take a look at our adverts and try to make them a little clearer.

Pros

The location is just outside the loop which is cool The staff is very friendly Quick promotions There is no seniority

Cons

12 hour days with 7-8 hours "in the field" which is really spending the day in Walmart, Costco or Target basically harassing shoppers to buy products that you have little to no knowledge on. It's 100% commission based with no starting pay and the first pay check isn't for 3-4 weeks. Absurdly fast with moving up in the company. They also hire people with no experience. Anywhere from high school students to grad school graduates but everyone starts at the same level. Cult-like culture. No breaks throughout the day, especially if you aren't meeting goals. This lead to many days standing for 8 hours at a time.

Thanks for the feedback. It seems like you have had a mixed experience with our company, and that's a shame. We're glad that you found our staff friendly, and enjoyed the opportunity for quick promotions. These are things we pride ourselves on. We work with a fantastic team of professional, well-trained people. We don't think that they would consider what they do 'harassment'. Neither do we think that the massive customer base we maintain that makes our company so successful would consider themselves harassed. If there's some specific behavior you observed that you would like us to investigate please do get in touch, but we haven't had any specific complaints from our locations. You're correct in that we do hire many people with limited experience. We also hire very experienced people, for different positions. However we like to hope that we have opportunities available for everyone. We don't like to discriminate. Please do feel free to get in touch if there's any way we can help or explain any of your issues. We always welcome the opportunity to improve.

Pros

the manager is pretty nice

Cons

The position i signed up for was a marketing internship and instead when i was hired, other "marketing specialists" and I had to sell products on the street such as cable services or insurance phones. They basically just need bodies in the street and you are only paid through commission. Many times, I felt unsafe having to standup all day and sell certain products at CTA stations (including the south side station)...the job description is very misleading and their entire business model is a triangle scheme.

Just as our representatives explained to you on the morning of your observation day, they would be securing customers on behalf of our client and you would be observing to gain a clear understanding of our systems and procedures. After this shadowing experience, we would have believed that you understood the opportunity we offer when accepting a position at our firm. Our client is excelling within its industry, they are recognized worldwide and we are honored to help them share their message with their customers. Using the most personable approach and systems, which include talking to customers on a face to face basis, we are proud of our success rate and the growth potential that we offer our client and also our team who train with us.
