Pros

CINI is the leading NGO in Kolkata working for the last 38 years. Their way of understanding the needs and the problem assessing factor has to be appreciated.

Cons

The worst thing about CINI is that it is still living in the 1970s bureaucracy. Although a few people have tried to think out from the box they too failed as I think they too have a strong impact of the so-called CINI ethics on them. There is no work culture at all and hence people coming from the corporate background should beware. They will be tried and tested by those who hardly have any ethics left in them. Most of the staff members are too busy with their personal life than to work for the organization and as such there is no strategy in the work that they do. If today you are asked to work with Plan A and you sweat your day in it, you would be utterly surprised to see that the plan has been changed to Plan B the very next day, and you can be assured that the Plan B would be the North Pole if Plan A has been south. They hardly have any place for new members, are narrow minded people and are utterly disgusting in the way they would poke their Fugli-noses in your personal life. So is you are really contemplating about leaving your job and dedicating yourself to this organization then please do think not twice but thousands of time, otherwise you will just land in a place of pitiful people and can only think of a way of escape.

Pros

Every one is very down to earth.

Cons

There is no proper human resources department in the units of CINI. My unit head was savage and used slangs while communicating to us.
