Pros
Onsite work required on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. (might have changed according to the major OEM's working pattern) When there's no meeting with customer/management/design team in China, you are free.
Cons
Low base salary; health insurance not covered (have to buy health insurance from the market and then get reimbursed for a small portion); no 401k unless you win the H1B lottery. The CAAS North American site rarely deals with technical things; it's just a liaison between design/manufacturing team in china and OEMs. Plenty of meetings in early mornings (7am) and late night (11pm).
