Pros

Everyone is extremely nice in the office. Little micro-management. You can manage your business the way you want to. There is opportunity for travel for IT trade shows and networking events. China Telecom has brand recognition so when cold calling and prospecting prospects are likely to want to speak with you.

Cons

Your manager/director also sells so they are competing within the same territory. Managers also carry their individual quota which is a conflict of interest. There is little room for growth and to move up within the company. Product is difficult to sell because there is competition with CT locally. Very political in selling and within accounts. It's a very niche product and there will likely be overlap with your colleagues on accounts. There is no CRM system for visibility into accounts being worked by other reps. Everything is on excel sheets.

Pros

Friendly co-workers. Good healthcare benefits.

Cons

Bureaucracy and lack of clear internal management. Unclear division of responsibilities between departments, leading to difficulties in addressing regulatory issues. Lack of comprehensive onboarding training, resulting in new employees having to figure things out on their own, which can be disastrous. The concept of flexible work hours really means working beyond the regular 8-hour workday, often requiring working during Asian time zones, including evenings on weekdays and Sundays without additional compensation. Difficulties in acquiring cutting-edge professional skills Lack of a clear career path and promotion mechanism. Below-average salary.
