Lots. This is all true.. please read before thinking of applying here.
- You are expected to travel anywhere they say. TRAVEL IS UNPAID
- Meetings and training days are also UNPAID
-Your shifts get canceled a lot because they have too many staff members for the amount of studio work there is. They keep hiring more staff because people constantly leave!
- You only get notified that your shift has been canceled a day before.
- Because of constant cancellations, money is constant stress each month. Many staff has said they can't afford to pay their bills.
- Some managers, not all, look down on you and think that they are so much better than you and treat you like dirt.
- The studios are often very quiet and you may end up traveling an hour to get to a studio to then find out it will only be for 3 hours work!
- You are not allowed breaks.
- CEO does not like staff members talking to each other about shifts and how much money we are on. This is because she knows everyone is on different wages and pay is very unfair.
- As a photographer, we have to attend many training days, which are pointless and we are not paid for travel or our time.
- We have complaints on a daily basis from customers because of how the call centre have delt with them unprofessionally.
- When we have a bad sales day, CEO sends out emails and takes her anger out on her staff members. We do the best we can and cannot force clients to buy their images.
- Everyone I know at chique is not happy. The stress of not knowing which studio you are in, how much money you will earn and if you will be able to afford to live for the month is too much. We can't live like that but CEO does not care about our wellbeing at all. She just cares about how she can cover her back.
- Managers and CEO lies to you constantly about shifts and pay ect
- CEO is not nice at all. She sends threatening texts and is extremely controlling and manipulative. She doesn't like her staff members being friends! She is very unprofessional and does not know what being a boss is all about. A boss should respect their staff members and treat them as if there care and appreciate them. I have been at chique for a while now, and not once have I felt that she respects me.
