Pros
- The contracts with some of the main local companies will allow you to have wide exposure to projects, clients and management styles. - The company have quite good reputation based on their headquarters in Japan.
Cons
- Benefits: Always on the edge of the law. The split of your salary on basic and supplementary is a figure that will badly affect you end of service compensation. The living allowance is very low compare with the living cost. The medical is very basic, even they encourage you to use the public health card, and maternity is not cover (between others). Though the offer letter talks about demobilization ticket, that is subject to a minimum stay with the company. - Culture: As expected, being a Japanese company, you will find inflexible times, long working hours, very poor facilities, and bosses pushing you to work for free after hours and weekends. And the worst, a considerable number of people willing to do so! - Trust: On my view, one of the worst features of this company. The "blaming culture", the lack of strong senior leadership, and no cooperative work environment, will kill very soon any good intention you may have. There is not "corporative identity", instead, there is space for several "micro-cultures" depending of your origin. On the same way, the rewards, recognition, promotions depend on how well you and your "group" managed to get near to the management, means your performance evaluation doesn't have any use except when looking a reason to release you (if bad). On the other hand, every time you have to sign something to HR, you will have the feeling company is cheating on you, and you are near to lose the few benefits you may have ... and it is most of the time. - Training received is fake, don't go beyond a ppt presentation or a compulsory meeting inside the discipline.
