Pros
I can't really think of any pros. At first you would think a small family run operation would be nice but the lack of consistency, management and professionalism becomes apparent after a few months. There are good workers there, but it is greatly overshadowed by the poor working conditions/management.
Cons
Growing workload with not enough staff to cover for it. Many around me had a "drowning" feel about their day and there didn't seem to be any hope for that to change anytime soon. Pay is minimal for this particular industry and favoritism definitely plays a role in who gets promoted. It's who you know here, not what you know. Because of the increasing workload, days off were not encouraged ever, even if you were considerably sick. They would prefer the entire office to be sick then to lose one person for a day or two. The unprofessional comes from all of these things and more, including firing personnel over text message (done multiple times) "management" lounging around in shorts not even long enough to cover their backside, favoritism over skill, and the short staffed, high stress environment. It is all about numbers here, do not believe for a second management cares about you, which even then, it would be fine if they had a decent business structure, which they don't. Outdated systems, things constantly being lost, many things would need to be updated and improved for this place to be an effective workplace, including the CEO's attitude.
