Pros

some great team members flexible start and end time - just need to work 8 hours each day

Cons

Company is dying a slow death exacerbated by the owner's stubborn refusal to change the business model Owner takes zero responsibility despite being the sole decision maker. He will throw anyone and everyone under the bus to avoid taking the responsibility for the company's failures. They are bleeding money currently. Approximately 20% of the company has been laid off over the last 6-9 months, and the number of active clients is declining every month I made less and less money every year I was there due to the company's decline

Pros

some experience learning about value added sales and using math/data to drive sales. fairly low pressure...learned some about mail marketing. CEO's son was great. A couple managers were okay, but CEO and President were terrible.

Cons

my initial base pay was higher than what I made when I moved to commissions by 20k+ and I never made more than 60/70, and I was hitting goal. Sat around for the first 3 months. Old systems and tools. Had to clock in and clock out. President was rude, cursing and disrespectful, demanding to do all of these things but unhelpful. CEO was inappropriate in meetings, loud and unhelpful to real issues.

Pros

Great coworkers and great practicers to work with.

Cons

Be aware that the base salary is actually a draw against future commissions, which isn’t made clear during the hiring process. The products are pretty outdated, which makes it tough to close new business. Leadership and management roles are all within one family, and that can limit growth or influence for others. One of the biggest surprises is the commission structure — it’s not consistent across the team. Some reps make as little as 8%, while others make up to 14% for the same work. If you’re considering this job, make sure to negotiate your rate upfront and get all compensation details in writing. There also appears to be favoritism in how guarantees and opportunities are assigned, which can make compensation feel uneven or biased.
