Working with people who are in need is a very rewarding experience that can carry you through the tough times when you see success in clients' progress toward their personal goals.
Cons
Keeping and hiring incompetent workers seems to be the general trend for a lot of non profit organizations. It appears to be running like a for profit corporation, but in terms of keeping qualified workers, it doesn't seem to happen on a regular basis. It is more of a who you know basis type of organization and thus will thwart its intended purpose of truly helping the homeless.
