Pros
Flexibility. Every federal holiday off, accrued vacation time, and you can take personal time as needed. If you work a holiday you can generally get another day off (depending on your department and manager) No sick time for obvious reasons. Some managers are fantastic, but they are few and far in between and usually don't stay because they find better opportunities.
Cons
Cutting benefits on a yearly basis. Outsourcing and "change of workflow" is a constant so you are never sure if you'll have a job the following year, sometimes not even the following month. Management doesn't consider the effect of their decisions on "lower" employees.
