Pros
You learn new techniques. Easy access to public transport. Good lab infrastructure.
Cons
Bad pay. It's almost like you work for free. People bully you. Excess workload. People are differentiated based on their health status. I was openly given the feedback to try to ' fall less sick' and I'd be given a better pay. This, coming from a scientist himself is a joke. Despite working hard, being a good performer and giving results, I was given a lower pay hike than the rest due to my illness one particular year. This kind of treatment is not to be tolerated and unfair.
