Great group of people to work with Everyone aware of direction company is going in. Freedom to express one's self in work

Cons

Not great for introverted people who like the own time after work or at lunch, atmosphere leads to constantly being together at lunch, after work events, etc

Pros

The staff excluding board members are some of the best people I have worked with.

Cons

- Management sent out an email to change maternity leave and never stated in the email what was changed, it turns out they removed the maternity benefit until you are 5 years in the company. With the amount of redundancies and layoffs in the past 3 years, only a select number of employees are over 5 years in the company. - Very poor communication from upper management - Would send an email at 4 or 5pm on a Friday to update us on how bad the company is doing so that they didn't need to face us for the rest of the day. - Laid off a lot of staff the first weekend in January with only one week's notice and pay. Would not even offer payment till the end of the month so that staff were a little bit more comfortable leaving. - Upper Management avoided their staff all the month of December and made their roles incredibly hard to do when things started to get bad - All layoffs were women in the business - Complete lack of trust and transparency in the leadership team - Board members are managers of tech and marketing but avoid their teams when important decisions need to be made and which results in their teams not being able to do their job! - Job security is virtually nonexistent. - Very poor organisation and micromanaging. Big decisions being made days before big events when they should have been made months ago - Despite substantial investments, overspending and poor management have depleted resources. - Completely chaotic management - A certain member of the leadership team deciding at the last minute to run campaigns and change plans without telling the wider teams is crazy and makes it impossible to do your job. - The same issues are coming back around like the previous lay-offs, yet nothing will be done as the leadership team has very little trust in their employees and no business experience. - Outside help needs to be brought in to run the business if it wants to succeed as Leadership has no clue on how to do it. - Staff feel very belittled and undervalued to the point where mental health has to be taken into consideration. - Inadequate resources - All software tools have been discontinued without warning making it impossible to do our jobs. This is just some of the issues that face Chupi, it needs a complete overhaul with a different CEO at the wheel with proper business knowledge.
