Pros

Flexible work life balance. Strong image processing / Computer vision expertise. In the past, you also learn hardware stuff not so much now.

Cons

Salary is not competitive compare to other large IT companies. Career path is not clear, Management is too patent creation focused instead of technology creation focused.

Pros

* World-class researchers and engineers from whom you will learn an enormous amount. * Friendly project teams, passionate about their subject and willing to help. * A "nothing is too hard" approach to problem solving and project deadlines. * Peerless academic credentials in Australia.

Cons

* Much of the executive is bereft of strategic management experience and this mediocrity breeds distrust and dysfunction. * A toxic culture of fear permeates much of the middle-ranking managers. * The legal department, once regarded as trusted resource to navigate a difficult IP landscape, is now often viewed as an willing agent for the incompetent whims of the executive.
