Pros

Decent location. Snacks in the Kitchen. Decent work / life balance.

Cons

Management has no idea what they are doing. OTT group has no direction and is full of youngsters that are order takers, not creative thinkers. Even senior management can't take the initiative without being told what to do. Everyone knows the company is failing, yet they tout that they are in great shape. Also, if there is a problem, the culture of management is "blame someone first" then solve the problem. CYA is the name of the game. They also promoted people that could not do the same role anywhere else other than there. Everyone is on borrowed time and they know it, but no one dares leave because they know they would be unqualified in a similar role anywhere else. It's unfortunate because there are some legitimate smart people there, but not in the Production and OTT group. Management is terrible, no guidance is ever given, and they treat employees less than professionally. Finally, everything they do requires 3x more work than it should, because everyone is afraid of change, no longer being relevant, and losing their jobs. Cinedigm needs to completely retool.

Pros

Some good, talented people remain. The ones who haven't been laid off and replaced with counterparts in India, that is.

Cons

This company is a frustration machine. Broken and borderline clueless upper management. Constant infighting that everyone who works there is aware of. Serious cash flow problems. Budgets are nonexistent. Trend follower, not trendsetter.  Zero innovation. Company changes direction constantly.  No stability with no plan in place. No job security. Massive layoffs over the last 18 months. No pay raises or annual bonuses in over 2 years. Constant log jamming makes it impossible to get things done.

Pros

Some great people -- mostly in low-to-mid-ranking positions, although a few in higher positions as well! -- dedicated, creative, talented, knowledgeable and resourceful. Good health insurance. If you're passionate about the film industry, the content of day-to-day tasks is at least interesting.

Cons

Departments were way too siloed, encouraged to play the blame game rather than collaborate to find solutions. A certain C-suite exec was very disrespectful and quick to anger, which made employees reporting to them more concerned with "how to make sure this could in no way reflect poorly on me to [redacted]" rather than "how do we make this actually work." Often we found ourselves deadlocked by refusal to acknowledge or address obvious problems. Overall: no clear vision for the company. Constant rug-pulling. Blatant favoritism. Understaffed. Unreasonable expectations for very little resources or support. Passive-aggressive and sometimes just aggressive-aggressive Zoom meetings. Despite being an entertainment company, theoretically *the* dream job for most people working there, the vast majority of employees seemed miserable and frustrated.
