      Pay is very competitive compared to the other markets

      Cons

      They are constantly lying to the public and employees. The executive team, especially the CEO, hides behind closed doors. The building project is where all our raises are going and I heard we had to take a loan from board members to make payroll. We have a CEO with no credentials just doing whatever he wants. If you want the best paying job you have to be related to someone on the executive team to get it. They don't even post the job positions. Just hiring family members to continue not paying the rest of us. I do not know how this place is not doing something illegal.

      Good money. Probably one of the best rural hospitals in this area.

      Management doesn’t have your back. There’s lots of drama. If one person doesn’t like you, management won’t like you.

      Leadership Needs to Start Listening

      Pros

      The people at Citizens Health are what make the organization special. Employees truly care about the patients and the community, and everyone works together with the goal of providing the best care possible.

      Cons

      The CEO spends more time isolated in his office than engaging with staff and appears unwilling to listen to anyone who disagrees with him. Employees are routinely told things that do not match reality, creating a culture of distrust. Serious financial concerns continue to go unaddressed while leadership acts as if everything is fine. Many employees feel it is only a matter of time before layoffs, service cuts, or other major disruptions occur. The people doing the work deserve better transparency, accountability, and leadership.
