Cheap health insurance, decent benefits, some* transparency from leadership, decent exposure to work with Chicago DOT, thorough caution around COVID

Cons

Very superficial company culture, pay is not competitive, repetitive and menial work, leadership struggles to respect differences in opinion and lacks interest in diversity/equity/inclusion, majority of senior staff is not very technically robust, younger employees are not empowered to speak or learn more than the bare minimum

Attractive professional building impressed visitors.

Cons

Cold, "country-club" environment" unwelcoming to new employees. High employee turn-over from burn out (very long hours) or weird lay-off decisions. Management cares little about the culture and focuses on making money for themselves.
