Management hinges heavily on favoritism. The favorite employees get extra free passes, better raises, and laxer expectations. Management will study individuals with a microscope, find a flaw, and then hang onto that flaw for the remainder of your employment there as a way of negotiating against raises.
There is no official HR department, so there’s no real way to escalate issues or hold management accountable if they transgress company policies, since they’re involved in the HR process as well.
Dental and Vision insurance are a pain to use, and require you to have the cash upfront for examinations and any procedures you’re going to have done. You then submit a receipt for reimbursement. Tried it once and was never reimbursed.
It’s a rather dead end job. Unless someone above you is terminated, resigns, or is laid off, there’s no upward movement within the company. There are opportunities if you acquire a degree in a relevant field, however they will not pay you to go to school nor will they reimburse you.
There’s no diversity there. At all.
