Quite Possibly the Worst.Job.Ever

Pros

The coffee machines were decent. Work from home was common, but that was because everyone worked so many hours. The location is good for N. York folks.

Cons

-- Clarity has serious product issues that they don't acknowledge. Bringing this to their attention is considered treason. -- The culture is the least work-life balance friendly I've ever seen. Expect to work weekends and holidays. -- You will get little to no feedback about job performance. -- You will get little to no help getting started in your role. -- Management are extremely out-of-touch with the employee experience.

Avoid Clarity Systems AT ALL COST!

- You're assigned your own laptop - You're given company mobile phone - Good location (subway + mall + restos)

Cons

- Incompetent leaders (they just does not care!) - NO BONUS or any kind of salary increase whatsoever - You are "required" 45 hours, of course more is expected - If you have to travel, shelve any weekend plans - Management is only concerned with money - Cheats clients by releasing buggy and untested software (forget customer satisfaction!) - Employees treated like trash - Good, intelligent employees are leaving the company (guess why!) - Make sure you have good medical coverage because a lot of people acquire certain illness related to stress - Will negotiate to have your salary lowered (duh!) - Very political, a VP popular among employees left in disgust - Statistics are flawed and revenue is manipulated

Beware of working at Clarity

Pros

Every project is a firefight. Because there is little support you can learn a lot through your own experiences, trials and tribulations. Because its a small company you get to work on small scale projects where you can exert your influence. Also fighting through the firest there makes one a stronger individual.

Cons

Very political environment, no recognition of personal acheivments. Sales makes promises that consultants can't deliver. They are not a software company, rather a consulting firm with a software. Growth is through more services revenues, but quality of consultants they hire is poor. Also the company software is proprietary in a market dominated by leaders.
