Pros

Small company, great product, APJ had great people. Change of CEO means that there were a number of changes and the overall effect of that is yet to be fully played out.

Cons

The usual cons that come with working for a small company that is looking to IPO - is the focus on long term growth, short term balance sheet, looking attractive to investors or investing in the future? Small company means you only have a limited career path but if it takes off and expands then you are in a great position to ride the wave.

Pros

Office is nice but now sub-leasing half of it Lots of free beverages and snacks Only other "pro" is the view

Cons

The fact that I can only list the office, food and view as pros speaks volumes. Management is, well it exists at Clarizen, but you wouldn't receive any benefit from it. Messy, dysfunctional, no collaboration between departments to ensure seamless roll-outs of new products. Pricing is confusing and the Accounting Department along with senior management refuse to address systemic issues that affect the customer experience. It's embarrassing walking a customer through placing an order, not to mention having to explain the confusing and type-o ridden invoice a day later. The word "morale" is not a word in management's vernacular. All are expected to act as if it's the best company to work for ever. A bad review on Glassdoor sends them into a tizzy. So let me just say, do not work for Clarizen. Company's days are numbered and they sure won't divulge that in an interview.

Clarizen Response
8y
On the heels of our latest product release, which included the Clarizen Bot (integration to Slack), Slide Publisher, Financial Planning and additional innovations to our software I thought this would be an opportune time to address this review. We are financially strong and are in fact hiring in multiple departments to align with the demand we are seeing from enterprise companies. Teams will always experience challenges in a growing company. I agree with the reviewer that communication and collaboration are keys to success. We have significantly improved in this area and are fully committed to continue down this road. Insights and dialogue are always appreciated and welcomed, from both current and past employees. We have many long tenured employees - because we value our people, our culture and the work we do. Long bumpy ride

Pros

- Beautiful offices with sweeping views and fully stocked kitchen - Currently a leader in the market, although competitors are close behind - Much of the staff is sharp, hardworking and just "good people"

Cons

- Lots and lots and lots of employee turnover - Dual HQs (San Mateo and Israel) feel like 2 separate companies, no cohesion - Management lacks experience and tact - Product is falling behind in the market: needs a new UI and more innovative functionality
