- Company directors are all brilliant and approachable.
- Emphasis on work/life balance is exceptional.
- 4-day work week with the option to choose your day between Mon/Fri is testament to this and a brilliant benefit to provide staff.
- There are constant opportunities to provide suggestions, whether to your own role/responsibilities or changes to the company itself.
- Progression is encouraged and supported within the business and training is provided.
- The company also took its employees on a week-long holiday to encourage collaboration/relationship building.
- The staff retention is unheard of for a tech business, with an extremely significant average length of service.
Cons
- The culture of the company reduced somewhat following Covid and the removal of the office.
- The company can struggle to compete with salary demands of bigger businesses.
Amazing culture
Directors are extremely down to earth
COO is absolutely incredible
Solid, well established company
Custom team provides full SDLC experience
Claromentis pro-actively recognises and enables career growth, both financially and with promotions
4 day working week
CEO, Nigel, genuinely cares about the staff and working environment. He once discontinued a contract with a client who had a homophobic agenda out of respect for the LGBTQ members of the Claromentis team. The contract was negotiated and practically already signed and he walked away from it. I actually defended that company on grounds of free speech but the fact a CEO would walk away from money speaks a lot to his strong character.
Cons
Struggles to compete with London salaries
The software is not multitenancy which creates a lot of headaches across the technical landscape
Pension contributions are "qualifying earnings" only - look this up, it's important.
