Pros

Some good coworkers. Beautiful area to explore.

Cons

White supremacist. Misogynist. If you are a woman, a person of color, gender non conforming or just a human being this is not the place for you. Management is mean and practices discriminatory and predatorial behavior. And allows other employees to do this. Operations is a joke. Seriously a clueless, joke. If you value your peace, mental and emotional wellbeing do not work here!

Toxic Bootcamp

Pros

Wonderful coworkers. Challenging and fast environment. You’ll leave Clars feeling like you’ve completed a small business boot camp.

Cons

No room for promotion. Management is the epitome of 50s style toxic masculinity. Owners don’t believe in job titles or job descriptions. Everyone is required to work weekend auctions which can mean 12+ hr shifts. Old drafty building and poor cleaning means you will get sick often.

Pros

I met a few interesting people passionate about art and antiques

Cons

I was sexually harassed by both men on the floor that moved furniture as well as by the esteemed appraisers that everyone praised. I wasn't allowed to take breaks (lunch or even a 15min break) during the auction weekends and week after. These would amount to 12+ hour days. I would stay after late to assist other departments with little appreciation or thank you. I was hired on to do a completely different job and additional office duties and other tasks were added to my workload. I was put on probation and not allowed to receive health benefits (the main reason I took the job) until I agreed to do what they wanted. There were some just plan mean people.. they would go behind your back and lie about things to make themself look better. You couldn't trust anyone. There was so much room for error with the management of the property and too many people involved with things that it made it likely a mistake would happen and you'd be blamed (if you were lower on the ring in the office) Zero room to grow and the pay was unlivable for the Bay Area
