The pay was decent, It was a decent place to work while the company was doing okay financially.

The product was outdated and aimed to manipulate customer's out of their money, overall a very negative working enviroment

Pros

Friendly colleagues and interesting projects to work on made the environment a pleasant one. The location is a plus, with great views of Elliott Bay.

Cons

Technically interesting projects rarely ever moved the needle in a meaningful way. Partly due to the innovator's dilemma (once you've managed to monetize 6MM paying accounts, how do you walk away from that revenue, even as every day Facebook eats more of your lunch?), and partly due to complacency and lack of vision, the company has suffered several rounds of deep layoffs in recent years.
