      Great Work-Life Balance

      Pros

      So, I was a little scared working for a startup when I first interviewed here. I figured there would be long hours and lower pay then other places. That is not the case at all. The two owners, Fred and Ed have a development background themselves and really understand the ups and downs of development. They work hard to make sure that Sprints are properly planned out and that we are not interrupted putting out fires all the time (pretty much any other job I worked at). We work hard to get stuff done but there great work-life balance here. We also get to work with the latest gear and tech (Swift, Xamarin, Angular 2, Node.js) and I have learned more here in a year then I think I would have learned 5 years anywhere else. We get to collaborate as a team and try out new ideas and solutions. More importantly, management actively encourages it!

      Cons

      Small company so not that much room for position advancement. Now, knowledge advancement...that's a whole other ballgame!

      Thanks! We really appreciate the feedback and all the great work the team is doing! We work hard to ensure that project requirements and expectations are well communicated to make sure we do not have too much "crunch" time. Oddly enough, work-life balance is something you have to work hard to achieve but is worth it :-)

      Pros

      Feel so fortunate to be part of this company. Leadership is extremely accessible, inclusive, accountable, and forward-thinking. They are tireless in their efforts to acquire/retain excellent talent: I truly respect and enjoy each employee I've met. Owners are great at socializing change, while staying super-transparent... Our company meetings are actually fun! (?!)

      Cons

      Narrow base of revenue. However, leadership/management are working diligently to expand the business, and minimize this risk. Similarly, they've taken steps to avoid being bottlenecks of much decision-making.

      Pros

      Flexible work environment, management that truly cares about the employees, knowledge sharing for days, lots of training opportunities, the BEST company meetings and office parties around, and best of all, the company practices what it preaches. Company also sponsors Lean Beers, giving the community an excellent opportunity to network and learn from each other. Ok I can't stop coming up with Pros... another one is the way the company really focuses on core values, and that's what is used instead of a "quarterly review" or something like that. We all peer review each other on how well we embody the core values, including the execs.
