The pay is low for the are and for national average to start with. No bonuses or profit sharing. Add to that there is no merit based pay. All raises are a set percentage that is consistent for everyone. One person can work their rear end off and be working next to someone doing the bare minimum to keep the job and they will make the same pay and have the same raises. The only way to get a raise is to move up in position and opportunities are rare.

The whole culture of the company is purely focused on fighting the daily fires that no one is able to see more than a week or so down the road, so when overall targets are missed, it takes upper management completely by surprise even though it was obvious to people on the floor.
Capitol investments are a crapshoot. Some are sorely needed, others are done without any consideration to production needs and results in added inefficiencies and major cost increases.
