A steady job, at best (and that's a stretch)

Pros

Pay starts at $12 an hour (which is slightly higher than the current WA minimum wage), allowed to request off as much time as you want and as long as a certain number of employees have not requested those days off your request will generally be approved, potlucks are yummy, can decorate and personalize your cubicle as you wish, training is generally pretty good (though sometimes inconsistent from lead to lead), you're allowed to disconnect the call if the customer starts swearing at you, not much of a dress code so pajamas and flip flops are acceptable attire (some would consider this a con, I suppose).

Cons

The company and management is built on shady practices, extremely high turnover, basically a middle school with drama and bullies, they will tell you there is opportunity for advancement but multiple people who have been there for YEARS and make top marks will never be promoted because of office politics, ridiculously strict on break times (if you use both 10 minute paid breaks during your 8 hour shift and you have to go to the bathroom, you have switch into "lunch" mode so they don't have to pay you any more than they're required...keep in mind, bathrooms are often being cleaned during the day and sometimes you have to spend your break talking with supervisors about how you were shorted on your paycheck), you have to double check all your hours on all your paychecks because you WILL get shorted, and don't be deluded into thinking you're helping people get cars because really, dealerships just pay you to funnel people in the door, they will tell there's no cold calling and there has just been a huge increase in cold calls, unless you are promoted there is NO OPPORTUNITY TO EARN OR RECEIVE A RAISE IN PAY, 401k package is really poor and insurance is not a whole lot better, they say 40 hours a week with opportunity for overtime but it's more like..."you would normally work 40 a week, but work is so slow during most weeks you could get about 30-35". Overtime is pretty rare and even then it's usually just making up for all the days you got sent home early.

Junior pay for expert expectations

Pros

Some people that work here are nice but, it is not enough to balance the downfalls.

Cons

I was fired with no training after one week. When I asked questions, I was treated like my question was stupid and I was interrupting their busy day. They tossed me a manual with out even going over it and said ok start working. The first day there was pressure to be faster at my job, but no one wanted to show me how to be faster. No tips no tricks to share on processes. If they were requiring an expert to fill the position then they need to specify this as well as pay for it. Sorry, but $40,000 a year salary is not going to get you a expert in the field but instead a junior level applicant that you will have to spend time and efforts in training.
