Pros

Benefits, loved the fact it was family owned and Canadian.

Cons

It's a high school nightmare where if you do want an advancement someone will take your ideas and use it as their own. When they want to terminate your employment so they don't have to pay you out they will use extreme misconducts against you. They only hire upper management from companies such as general paint employees and dismiss the employees they have had for many years. Unless you want to work for a company that strives on Canadian owned family owned to use that to make you feel like your apart of a company than slit your throat. I hope wink realizes what is happening in the prairies and that your so called dream team is pushing out the true a listers.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to rate us and write review about your experience while working with us. We regard all of our reviews with high importance as it is a reflection of our efforts which we pride ourselves on. There are always two sides to every story, at least two perspectives that need to be understood before a conclusion is drawn. Each place of employment will have rules and workplace etiquette guidelines enforced to have a safe, professional environment for every employee. If those understandings are breached then companies are required to address each situation in question with potential for letting an employee go to find another place of employment. We want Cloverdale Paint to be “The Place to Be” for everyone that works with us and we thank you for your valuable input for us to reflect and build upon. If you want to continue this dialogue, we would be happy to oblige. Pros

The people were great, the hours were great, profit sharing, benefits.

Cons

The upper management didn't want to listen to your complaints, especially the Area managers. The area I worked in, the area manager had his favorites, and you knew it. The woman who was the Learning and Development Coordinator was amazing, and the way she was treated was deplorable. She trained me and was wonderful. I was pretty upset when she quit, so I left soon after.

Pros

Always accommodated schedule to work around school, gave us two 15 minute breaks and an hour for lunch, gave us a gift card every Christmas for groceries, had a profit sharing program, had several programs to help employees get gym memberships or buy computers etc.

Cons

Management had many systems for quality control and record keeping so that if a contractor made a claim we could dispute it if necessary, except that "the customer is always right" so after going to all the work to gather and keep evidence it was frequently ignored and we'd pay out thousands of dollars. The sales representatives in particular would let big accounts push us around to the point where we were doing the customer's internal paperwork (aka their job) and spending literally hours manually adjusting prices because what they were quoted was less than the computer was programmed to allow.
