Private Equity Mishandle & Leadership Disaster

Pros

Unbelievable group of people who work with the product are and were so talented, hard working, and kind.

Cons

Leadership has no idea what they are doing, or has any idea how to handle a fashion business. The level of disrespect shown through blatant lies, no transparency, and excuses is unmatched. Private equity has ruined the quality of the clothes and CM continues to have no brand identity. The benefits are of the minimum, and if there is a legal loop hole to screw people over, they will use it. Leadership in NYC are all just people who gained experience in HR and are just puppets of the private equity firm - MCO/Regent (the private equity firm) is scrambling to hide their poor performance and trying to keep Club Monaco off of Chapter 11 as long as they can so that they don't have another Bankrupt asset in their portfolio. They are laying off people in waves, and since they have hit a legal quota before admitting bankruptcy, are furloughing employees with no intention of bringing them back. They are shipping TOPs/samples to factories abroad in the MCO/Regent portfolio and are attempting to manage everything abroad. Do not come here for growth, respect for your skill set/experience, or versatility of opportunities. This place is in huge debt and not paying their vendors, and is basically a business that is an experimental mistake for people to try their hand at a level that was not meant for them. This is a place that does not respect people, the product, or the values and principles that keep power and balance in check.
